Robert Baird serves as President of Cochise MTS, overseeing training, advisory, and operational support programs worldwide. With extensive experience supporting defense and security sector missions, he brings leadership across program execution, personnel management, and global training operations.
He works closely with government and partner nation stakeholders to ensure programs are aligned, effective, and built for long-term success.
Senior Program ManagerRobert Valdez
Robert Valdez serves as Senior Program Manager for Cochise MTS, leading the execution of training, advisory, and operational support programs worldwide. With nearly four decades of military and defense industry experience, he oversees complex international programs that enhance partner nation readiness, strengthen strategic relationships, and support U.S. security cooperation objectives.
A retired U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer 4 and former AH-64 Apache Instructor Pilot, Robert brings extensive expertise in aviation operations, training development, force modernization, and foreign military sales programs. Throughout his career, he has successfully led multinational teams, managed large-scale training efforts, and advised senior military leaders across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.
As Senior Program Manager, Robert is responsible for ensuring mission success through disciplined program execution, effective resource management, and strong stakeholder engagement. He works closely with U.S. Government agencies, partner nation military leaders, and industry partners to deliver sustainable solutions that improve operational capability, increase readiness, and support long-term strategic objectives.
His leadership philosophy is centered on accountability, mentorship, and operational excellence, ensuring Cochise MTS programs consistently deliver measurable results in support of customer mission requirements.
